I’ve been holding this news for more than a month. Finally nourish! magazine – the organic issue is out. Feeling like a proud mama holding her baby for the 1st time, I couldn’t be more trilled to be working with nourish!. The magazine’s mission to spread the philosophy of good, healthy eating and educating the Malaysian F&B industry & diners about organic, fair trade, and locally sourced produce is in line with what I stand for.
When I started my blog almost 2 years ago, I’ve never dreamt that I could have come so far. For someone whose food gets laughed at (& still do), I am indeed very blessed to be I given the opportunity to reach a much bigger audience about healthy eating.
The Malaysian audience has never been more ready for healthier food and understanding where their food comes from. My Going Raw article is a dedicated to my Raw Food guru – Daniw Arrazola & my friend Ash for introducing Raw Food to me. Some of you might remember the Raw Inner Food Workshop I attended a year ago.
2 recipes I’ve created is QBB Gluten Free Banana Bread with Walnuts and CED Multigrain & Sprouted Seed Salad . It would be unthinkable to see a gluten free recipe in a Malaysian publication years ago, it’s a welcome change with more people becoming aware of their gluten allergy.
I couldn’t be more ecstatic that the client CED is loving this Multigrain & Sprouted Seed Salad with refreshing gingering sesame dressing.

Congratulations! This is great news! I hope ‘Nourish’ and all efforts at spreading the goodness of certified ‘organic’ food and products will get the attention of the government so that they would relax the rules a bit and allow us to get our online purchases without too much hassle and costs!

Thanks Ismail. The range of organic food & products available in Malaysia are quite a wide range, I wonder what do you buy online? I only buy organic for fresh produce because nothing beats eating real food. Organic canned / processed food is just as unhealthy.

I am inspired! Was just online for HOURS a couple of weeks ago looking for sources or organic milk, meat, eggs and produce in Malaysia. We are in Montreal, Canada right now and are addicted to eating real food. But we are scheduled to go home to Singapore in half a year and I’m starting to have panic attacks about food sources! There are organic groceries in Singapore but they are imported and very expensive. Even vegetables are from thailand. Why not Malaysia? I am going to hang on your every word on the topic of where to get organic in Malaysia! Way to go!

Angie, I have met some producers/farmers who told me the best crops are sent to Singapore, because can fetch better price there.. so we are left with 2nd & 3rd grade produce here. From what I know most asian crops in Singapore are from Malaysia, even organic ones. There are more choices & resources now, so don’t have to panic. I notice organic groceries in Singapore are relatively cheap because of the high exchange rate. Do join me on my facebook page or google+ where I share more stuff like this there, and it’s easier to chat
