Recently, I was on NTV7 Breakfast Show to share some of the ways to mix & match your own favourite flavours with plain yogurt. If you hardly eat plain yogurt, you are missing out on the various delicious ways to enjoy yogurt. I always have a tub of homemade yogurt in my fridge.. Yogurt is so versatile, can be used as a snack, breakfast, dessert or even in dishes.
The recipes I’ve shared on the show are here:
Breakfast Granola Yogurt Parfait
Passionfruit Yogurt
Chocolate Yogurt Sundae (from princessmisia.com)
Fruit Lassi
Do you like yogurt? Share with us in the comments section how do you enjoy them?
What do you think of my first LIVE TV demo? It wasn’t as nerve wrecking as I’ve envisioned and I had so much fun on set. I’m grateful to be given this opportunity to inspire more people on taking baby steps to healthy eating. Thank you NTV7 Breakfast Show.

Congrats on the TV show! You look gorgeous! I love yogurt so much that I can eat it any time. My favorite is plain, but sometimes I add fresh and dried fruits in it. I love to use it in soups too! And we have a speical cold drink made from yogurt, water and salt. Oh I almost forgot, my favorite mezze is made with yogurt, cucumber and dried mint, so refreshing!

Thanks Zerrin, you are very kind and of course I have to get the hair & make-up treatment at the tv studio before going live, so everyone will be gorgeous
I’ve tried Iranian yogurt drink, but it’s too salty for me. Is the turkish version the same? Yogurt cucumber & dried mint sounds absolutely refreshing!

Congratulations Shannon,
You did a fantastic job. I love yogurt too in all type of variations. I think it’s not only healthy but really delicious the way you demonstrate it in your breakfast show. Well done.

Thank you Frank for your kind compliments. As nerve wrecking as it had been, I actually had a lot of fun doing the show, even though it’s only 10 minutes

Congratulations Shannon!! You were fabulous! I would be a nervous wreck but you looked very comfortable for what I’m sure will only be the first of many! Great yogurt recipes to share. I do love yogurt and use it in a couple of the ways that you showed. Last night I made a yogurt dill dipping sauce for fried catfish. My friends enjoyed it as much as the catfish.

Thanks MJ, sorry for late reply. I’m so behind in so many things lately. I was a nervous wreck the day before the show, took my good friend hours of prep talk to calm be down and give me lots of things to occupy myself. phew.. I love using yogurt with grilled fish too, especially yogurt with pomegranate molasses!

Very smooth Shannon! And I’m talking about you
Very confident delivery, like a pro! I used to make my own yogurt and have banana smoothies every morning for breakfast. But somewhere along the line, I abandoned it. My yogurt maker is still around, guess I should start again soon!

Thanks Phong Hong! not a pro la, I was so worried I would blank out in the middle and pausing for minutes.. luckily I managed to ‘bluff’ my way through. Time to make your yogurt again.. actually I use the traditional method without yogurt maker and it’s very easy

Love yogurts…even on its own. But to convert the hubster I resorted to serving them with his fave fruits e.g. mangoes, kiwi and nuts to add flavour and take away the tangy taste. These days, I add them to some of our salads or use them on the side on our roast days instead of sour cream etc.

Your hubs seems to be enjoying the orange yogurt parfait
I love to substitute sour cream with yogurt too

I love yoghurt. I’ve actually been on a craze with Greek Yoghurt recently, eating it with either honey, granola, nutella, nuts, dried fruits, or chocolate! I’ve also been baking quite a lot with it
March 8, 2013 at 8:15 PM
Oh I should be baking more with yogurt, got to check out your recipes!
