Wing lovers would love this mildly sweet spicy addictively delicious Spicy Baked Chicken Wings. I could happily have the whole dish to myself.
*This post has some ‘gory’ details that might be uncomfortable to some*
My younger sister CH and I both took after our father’s food habit – love of chinese soups, innards, eating sugar cane in our younger days (more like chewing the cane to get the juice), and gnawing on chicken bones. Continue Reading →
Hot, spicy and sour Thai-Style Kelp Noodle Salad, with crunchy cashew, fresh salads and juicy seafood. Every bite bursting with flavour and texture.
I first heard about Kelp noodles from my raw food teacher Daniw Arrazola. It was the ‘noodle’ ingredient in the raw noodle recipe that she taught, but Fine Organic Gallery that sold it ran out of stock. Luck was not on my side after a couple of times of dropping by that shop, but it never occur to me to pre-order it as it wasn’t something I urgently wanted to try. Continue Reading →
Turn earthy nutty buckwheat pancake into stove top pizza loaded with goodness!
It might seem strange to some, but I don’t miss any food made with wheat. This would be an utterly absurd thought when I was first told by my naturopath 3 years ago to omit wheat among a few other food groups. I was whining and protesting. I thought I would literally “die” without bread, cakes, pasta and noodles. I wanted progress, to get better, and yet detested change. Humans are strange beings, aren’t we? Change is scary, and until we are forced to change, until we feel the pain, most of us prefer our safety net – clinging to the things we are familiar with.
Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are, for what you could become.

Sweet sour sticky Honey Lemon Chicken without the mess of deep frying. Delicious, easy & healthy weekday meal
Honey chicken is apparently a very popular Chinese restaurant dish in the West, as well as a popular take-out meal. Another similar chicken recipe created by the West is Lemon Chicken. Both dishes are deep fried and coated with delicious sticky sauce. However both dishes did not originate from China, as honey or lemon ingredient is not common in traditional Chinese cooking, but they are nonetheless delicious. Continue Reading →
Roasted broccoli salad tossed with mustard vinaigrette. You might never want to eat broccoli cooked any other way again.
I have yet to come across any kids that ask for broccoli. Definitely not the ones I know. Most of the time they stick their tongue out when I mention broccoli. I too have done that to any mention of veggies back when I was a kid. Continue Reading →

Refreshing Fish Tacos with Mango Salsa on Gluten Free Oat Flatbread
As a Pinterest addict, getting lost in the world of beautiful photos of recipes and DIY crafts happens pretty often. If I don’t set a time frame for my “Pinterest” time, I could spent hours pinning away. It’s not uncommon that Pinterest is a great source of recipe inspiration, because recipes are amongst the most pinned items. Easy oat flatbread is one of the recipes I found and experimented with a few times, if you have been following my instagram account, the few gluten free flatbread recipes I’ve tried, couldn’t be rolled out properly, the texture was dry and stiff. Quick and light fridge clean-out Fennel Salad
Would you eat something you have not tried before? Or do you prefer sticking to things you are familiar with?
I’m always looking for new ingredients to try, crazy me. I get uber excited when I see something new. Which can (and already did) get out of control. My kitchen and fridge are filled with STUFF begging for me to use them. A bad habit that I’m slowly getting rid of and learning a new habit to only stock up the fresh produce when the fridge is empty. It has been working quite well and it’s quite surprising that the fridge clean-out recipes turned out better than expected. Continue Reading →
